Sometimes the most special photos that I take
are simple things,
but they are always something that moves me
and speaks to my heart…

and many times,
they are my heart speaking.

Sometimes my heart cannot help but wander
in search of moments that I’ve never been,
a tree whose leaves I’ve never stood beneath,
or a dance of light and clouds
that my eyes have never before beheld.

In this newfound moment
that I’ve never been,
my wandering heart falls in love with life all over again.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think beauty is found when our hearts are open and paying attention. I find so many things in nature that don’t fit the typical definition of beauty. It is not perfection and not always loud and brilliant like a sunrise.

Sometimes beauty is a whisper, the way the sun shines on a single leaf as it dances alone on a winter tree. Other times, it’s a wish: fragile, weightless, resting mid-journey between a fleeting breath and the stars.

My camera is the lens that helps me to see beauty in the world, in life, and in the hearts around me.

There is something so awe inspiring about standing as witness to the world’s awakening. The hush, the color, the grace of it all… it’s like the earth remembering how to breathe.

this wandering field of fragments. moments, images, thoughts, ache, beauty, quiet observations, small revelations.

things gathered along the way and briefly held before drifting onward once again.

Beauty is … a sweet text message from a friend with a beautiful heart, checking on you and letting you know you’re not alone.

My spirit is a river with passions roaring wild,

spilling gently into calm, quiet waters,

forever dancing in the place where the fire of the day

meets the quiet of the night.
